Family PhotographERS IN Canterbury
The team at Frankie and Friends offer professional Family Photographer services from our city centre studio based in Canterbury
Your happiness is the most important consideration for us - great images come from great expressions and we want genuine smiles and laughter.
So many of us don't have an up-to-date family portrait in our homes. This can be a fantastic addition to your living room as well as a heartfelt gift for other family members
Our sessions are relaxed, unhurried and fun for all the family. We carry this approach through into our sales sessions, which we want you to enjoy and come away from with the exactly what you want.
We would love to talk to you on the phone or in person to discuss your photography requirements because we truly believe that is the best way we can serve you.

This house looks pretty unassuming from the outside, but inside it is huge and so beautifully decorated. Central to the house is the beautiful kitchen by Arlington Interiors http://www.arlington-interiors.co.uk
It's on the market with The Good Estate agent, https://thegoodestateagent.co.uk but our sources tell us that it was under offer within hours so you may be too late already!
We are very excited!! Two boxes of our Canterbury Squared book have arrived - just in time for the book launch this Wednesday!
This is the last! We said we'd post a page a day during August, and by golly we did it!
We finish with Stour Street. A place that is very special to me and to this project.
Palace Street is one of the most vibrant and interesting streets in Canterbury. It also has my favourite curry house on it!
Today I'd like to thank all of our lovely project sponsors!
As recounted in “A Sketch of the Life of that notorious House-breaker, Horse-stealer and Highway-robber, John Kirby, he was traced to a house of ill-repute in Knott’s Lane following the theft of a pair of shoes with silver buckles from a young man called Henry York. These he had secreted under his great coat and then left hidden under a bush on the way to Whitstable. He was finally caught and convicted at Canterbury Castle on 13th January 1789, for stealing four geese, which resulted in his being transported to Australia for seven years. The city of Canterbury was much relieved at the removal of the perpetrator of such heinous crimes.

Sometimes empty houses suffer from a lack of character. Not this one! What a stunning house. The owners have put so much work into it, with top end fit and fittings throughout. Well worth a look!
The Tannery Estate is a relatively new addition to Canterbury, with several small roads contained within its area. I made the decision to treat this as a single 'road' as it has a single history, the roads being created as a single project just a few years ago.

Another tricky one to photograph, Best Lane is quite a short street, but the tiny garden behind Patisserie Valerie helped get us there!
Our Kickstarter project is live! Please pre-order a copy of the book and/or share this with your friends!

Mill lane was lovely to photograph, with the working of the old mill making for some great subjects.
It's a small world in Canterbury; Jan knows John Adams (or last Coffee Shop Headshot client) and used to work for IALC (one of our recent studio clients) back when they were in room 310 in Lombard house; the room we're in the process of moving into right now!
This little lane was one of the harder ones to photograph, but turned out all right!
Continuing the theme of things named after St Peter, today is St Peters Grove!
Still waiting for KickStarter. Grrr..
In the mean time, here's St Peters Place!
Today is the day; our KickStarter campaign goes live. We're trying to cover some of the publishing costs of this book. Once it is selling in the bookshops, all profits will go to Demelza Children's Hospice, but it's taking quite a bit of time, effort and money to get it to that stage. Your kind support is most appreciated.
Given this is an extra special day, we're sharing an extra special page - the Cathedral!
Our KickStarter Campaign goes live tomorrow!! How exciting!! :)
We are sharing a page from our forthcoming book Canterbury Squared each day through August. There are just 2 days to go until our KickStarter campaign launches! Please share this with your friends!

This was the first property shoot we did with Julie at The Good Estate agent but it has taken a couple of weeks to come to market. Very exciting to see it go live.
We will be launching our KickStarter project on Sunday the 13th! Less than one week to go!!
